Before the presentation of any document, to this Embassy, for attestation, they require first to be legalised or attested by, either the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or Governors' Offices of Jersey, Isle of Man and Guernsey, the Irish Ministry for Foreign Affairs or the Islandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs, according to the region where the document originated.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office will only, accept the original documents which have been signed by: The UK Registrars of, Companies, Births & Deaths & Marriages, but other UK documents should be first authenticated by a solicitor or notarized by a Notary Public as a preliminary to their legalization.

Documents from the UAE need to be endorsed by the UAE Ministry for Foreign Affairs before this Embassy could attest them. Documents from British Overseas Territories will require attestation by the Government of the Territory concerned prior to submission for the FCO legalisation.

The Embassy will accept academic qualifications from the United Kingdom, Iceland and the Republic of Ireland, only, provided they are first legalised or attested either by the FCO, the Icelandic or the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as applicable, but whether you are doing the original or a copy, it should be done on the document itself, not on a notarial certificate.

For getting an Emirates ID card, the applicant has to fill the eForm in one of the authorised typing centres .

An SMS containing information about when and where to register will follow the application .The applicant will proceed afterwards to the registration centre mentioned in the SMS to complete the procedures.
